September 11 4th Annual Pickle Fest Saturday, September 12, 2009 Location: Centennial Park, Under the Water Tower

The Smiths Falls Lions Club is sponsoring its Pickle Festival in Smiths Falls. The event is located at the watertower in Centennial Park beside the Rideau Canal. Activities and events will include pickle sales, pickle demonstrations and sampling as well as a farmers market, wine tasting and entertainers. Food will be available during the day and a sidewalk sale will be held downtown.
OCTOBER
October 2Spirited Evening Cemetery Tours 7:00pm - 9:00pm Hillcrest Cemetery. Spirited Evening Cemetery Tour will be offered Saturday evening starting at 7:00 p.m. Heritage House Museum will kick off the haunting season with a spirited tour through Hillcrest Cemetery by candle light as you hear stories and learn more about our town’s rich past. The tour cost is $5.00 for adults; $4.00 for Youth (6-18 yrs.). Guided tours will leave every 20 minutes, you must reserve your space in advance by calling 613-283-8560. November 28Capital City Chorus Concert 2:00pm - 4:00pm Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute. Capital City Chorus Performance – Back by popular demand!! It will be a Dickens of a Christmas concert as Heritage House Museum host this fundraising performance of this 80 men Capital City Chorus. Performance at the Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute begins at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 per adult/senior or $20 for a family of 4 ( 2 adults & 2 children) and $5.00 for each additional family member are available at the museum - 11 Old Sly's Road, Smiths Falls, ON 613-283-8560.
