| March 4 | Species at Risk The Rideau Environmental Action League conducts community-wide environmental projects and promotes environmental improvements within the Town of Smiths Falls and Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Counties.
Lectures begin at 7:00pm, are approximately one hour, and are held in the auditorium of the Rideau Canal Museum.

| March 27 | The Canadian Cancer Society's annual Daffodil Days, where volunteers take to the streets to sell the bright, cheerful buds. Purchasing daffodils helps the Canadian Cancer Society do more. You get to enjoy a little taste of spring and feel good by knowing that your efforts are helping us to help many. $6 a bunch or 2 bunches for $10. |

Heritage House Museum opened its' doors to the public on June 13th, 1981. For the last 27 years this house has been serving the Town of Smiths Falls as a community museum, sharing the history of this area with locals and tourists alike. The history of this house began long before 1981. Take a moment and explore this exhibit, as it looks at the history of the house, the man who built it, the people who lived in it, those who rescued it and the whispered stories that make it out of the ordinary.

The Smiths Falls Lions Club is sponsoring its Pickle Festival in Smiths Falls. The event is located at the watertower in Centennial Park beside the Rideau Canal. Activities and events will include pickle sales, pickle demonstrations and sampling as well as a farmers market, wine tasting and entertainers. Food will be available during the day and a sidewalk sale will be held downtown.
